Travel to the city of Kankakee (south of Chicago) and there’s not many who aren’t familiar with the “Clan.” Something like a hometown celebrity, Clan front man C-ZAR knows he still has a long way to go to achieve the national fame he knows he’s destined for, but he’s already putting in the work to get there.
He realized he wanted to be a music artist at a very young age and there were a few that encouraged his talents, but C-ZAR primarily credits his own determination and ambition to his desire to be something bigger.
It wasn’t until 2011 that C-ZAR decided to get serious about music and put his God given talents to use. In May 2012,
C-ZAR collaboratively released “The Investment” mixtape with fellow Get Money Clan member and cousin, Nicky Bars, which can be downloaded on all major mixtape websites such as DatPiff and LiveMixtapes. This catapulted Get Money Clan’s already steadily growing buzz in their hometown to a level of local success.
While the Clan remains a known faction of brothers in the “Keys”, it was C-zar who gained breakout solo success. He confidently exudes street prowess and a unapologetically gritty flow that's undeniable in his music. You can feel the authenticity in his rhymes. Late summer 2015, C-ZAR released his anticipated debut solo EP "Before The Glory".
With noteworthy performances at both SXSW and A3C annual music festivals, major backing from top media outlets, and his sophmore EP "Duality" OUT NOW, C-ZAR has begun to set the framework for a solid music career and has the potential to be the urban industries next voice of the streets.
